A HISTORY WORTH PRESERVING AND A FUTURE WORTH SUPPORTING

The Ravalli County fairgrounds was purchased by Ravalli County in 1913, for the sum of $9,750.00, from the Bitter Root Stock Farm. To this day the fairgrounds remains Ravalli County property, funded by tax dollars budgeted by the Ravalli County Commissioners.

Due to limited County funding and a need for supplemental funding sources, a 501(c)3 organization, the Ravalli County Fairgrounds Foundation, Inc. (RCFF) was founded to enable individuals, businesses, families and friends of the fairgrounds to play a vital role in the future of the Fairgrounds by supporting programs and facilities through gifts of charitable donations.  With the assistance from the public along with grants from private foundations, RCFF is able to facilitate the support that is critical to financing new and existing programs and major fairgrounds improvements, which would not otherwise be possible.

RCFF itself, is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, serving staggered three-year terms, and extremely dedicated to focusing on the RCFF mission.

MORE THAN FAIR

Although the Ravalli County fairgrounds are known as the place of the County's largest community event, the Ravalli County Fair & RC Rodeo, the grounds & buildings are used all year long for various private and community activities.

The Fairgrounds has an open gate policy and is a peaceful place to bring the family to enjoy the outdoors. Pack up the kids, bring a lunch and use our picnic tables. It's a perfect venue for your child to learn to ride that first bicycle and walk the dog.  Many organizations also provide agricultural, social, educational and cultural opportunities on the grounds, some of which may require a fee.

The Event Center, sponsored by the Farmers State Bank, and other buildings and barns are available for rent, hosting many private and community family friendly events and activities. For more information concerning the fairgrounds usage contact the Ravalli County Fair Manager at (406) 363-3411.
